Rahim invites you to join him at an upcoming fundraiser supporting the John Humphrey Centre as they prepare to send 25 Edmonton youth to New York to participate in the Youth Assembly at the United Nations as part of a bid to bring this international event to Edmonton in 2007.

This will be the first time that the Assembly would take place outside of New York and offers an incredible opportunity for Edmonton. Youth involvement in this event will also introduce them to critical global issues, provide them international networking opportunities and leadership development.

These Edmonton youth are on a 30 day fundraising drive to raise the resources to travel to this event and to support the bid for 2007. Please join us in supporting these youth to attend this rare event:

Time: Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Where: City Arts Centre, 10943-84 Avenue
Cost: $15.00

The bid for the 2007 event has been submitted by the John Humphrey Centre for Peace and Human Rights, a local Edmonton organization working to advance human rights in our community and around the world. These youth will be the leaders in planning for the event in 2007.
